Ⅰ.pupil 特指“小學生;初等學校的學生”。也可指在教師指導下從事研究的“學生;門徒”如：

　　Ⅱ.student 指“大專院校的學生;中學生”。 有時，也可指研究或攻讀某一學科的人。如：—→a college student. a middle school student.

　　He is a student of science. 他是一個理科學生。
